Reflective Pulse Sensor
Reflective pulse sensors irradiate a living body with infrared light, red light, and green light with a wavelength of about 550 nm, and measure the light reflected by the living body using a photodiode or phototransistor. Oxygenated hemoglobin is present in arterial blood and has the property of absorbing incident light, so the pulse signal is measured by detecting blood flow (change in blood vessel volume) over time and with the beating of the heart.
In addition, since it is a measurement of reflected light, it is not necessary to limit the measurement site like a transmission type.
